Description
Up for sale is a wonderful two and one half quart Antique Copper Saucepot. The bottom show hand-cut dovetails (the zig-zag brassy-yellow line), dating the pot from as early as the 1850s to the 1890s. Nice heavy hammered 8.5" Copper handle. Finely hammered sides. Distinctive heart-shaped handle base. Large handmade copper rivets hold the very secure handle. No evident maker's mark. In very good antique condition with natural patina and wear consistent with age and use. Measures: 2.5 quart capacity; Diameter 7 1/4 inches, Height 4 inches, Overall length 15 3/4" with handle. I did not clean this at all. I will leave that up to the next owner if they choose to. Small engraving mark on the handle. Maybe 2 5 for size or (maybe a previous owners identification)
