The interior of the pan is finished in a gray slightly pebbled material, this was a ground breaking composite made of non-stick material fused with nickel under extremely high heat (according to a new NY Times article on Oct 19, 1983). The material is reported to be extremely robust and durable. This pot has never been used. The bottom of the pan is marked Coventry Coppers 1985 mtl. Canada.
