Pair Vintage Mora & Cie Paris Hammered Copper Saucepans Cast Iron Handles - Original Tin - Original Lollipop Lids 12.5 cm & 14.5 cm Pans Made in France Mid Century, Post-1960's For sale is an exceptional set of 2 Vintage Mora et Cie (and company) Copper Saucepans with original lollipop lids. The saucepans are both marked Mora & Cie Paris 1 er 13 Rue de Montmartre Made in France, and the lids are unmarked. They have beautiful, glistening hammering and have barely been used. I believe they have their original tin lining, which shows very minimal usage, no copper showing, some darkening mostly near the top edge and inside of lids. There are some light scratches on the bases from shelf wear. The pans sit flat and their cast iron handles are securely attached with 3 copper rivets. Measurements and thicknesses are as follows: 5-5/8" (14.5 cm) diameter x 3-1/4" tall saucepan with 5-15/16" ( 15 cm ) lollipop lid; 11-1/4" handle from edge of handle to opposite side of saucepan rim; weight of the saucepan only is 3 lbs 1.5 oz, and with the lid is 3 lbs 13.5 oz; caliper measures thickness just below top rim at 2.7-2.8 mm; and 4-7/8" (12.5 cm) diameter x 2-7/8" tall saucepan with 5-1/4" ( 13 cm ) lollipop lid; 9-3/4" handle from edge of handle to opposite side of saucepan rim; weight of the saucepan only is 2 lbs 4.5 oz, and with the lid is 2 lbs 14 oz; caliper measures thickness just below top rim at 2.7-2.8 mm. The hand polished copper has a beautiful shine and they really make a statement with fabulous hammering. N ote that vintage copper pans will have signs of age and use from their previous lives, adding to their elegance, charm and character.
