Description
One Small Vintage Copper Pan Lid, Total Outer Lid Diameter 6.75 Inches Underside, Inner rim measurements, about 6 Inches in Diameter Lined with Tin, Brass Handle with Brass Rivets From the 1970s or 1980s. It has been in storage for decades, so expect some shelf wear, minor tarnish and a few scratches. Lid could benefit from a good cleaning! Pre-1985, my Dad used the copper pan this lid came from to make a clock, but he did not use the lid. My guess is that this lid was made in Portugal, as that is where he got his copper pans from, BUT this lid is unmarked. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: Entire Outside Measurement of lid is 6-3/4 inches in diameter Underside measurement, inside rim, is about 6 inches in diameter Heavy Lid for its size, weighs 5.8 Ounces, UNPACKED NOTE: I believe that the lid has an old, original clear coat/lacquer on it to keep it from tarnishing. This lid has not been polished in decades, it has just had the original paper wrapped around it. Therefore, if Buyer wishes to use in oven, or place where heat will be used, the lacquer should be removed first, before heat is applied. Please refer to pictures as they are part of the description and READ ALL Seller Notes above before purchasing. This lid is about 40 years old! I think that it will clean up beautifully with a good cleaning/polish!
