Description
ONE Vintage Copper Pan Lid, WITH PATINA Lined with Tin and has a Brass Knob Made in Portugal Tarnished, aged, vintage condition. From the 1970s or 1980s. Appears to be unused. Has been in storage for decades, so expect some shelf wear and tarnish. Brass knob handle also has tarnish. Many years ago, my Dad used the copper pans that this lid came from to make clocks, but he did not use the lids. The lids have been wrapped in paper in storage for decades. I have the same copper sauce pot and lid for sale, where the pot is stamped Made In Portugal, BUT this lid is unmarked. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: Outside Measurement of lid is about 6-3/4 inch diameter Underside measurement, inside rim, is about 6-7/16 inches in diameter NOTE: I believe that the lid has an old clear coat/lacquer on it to keep it from tarnishing. This lid has not been polished in decades, it has just had the original paper wrapped around it. Therefore, if Buyer wishes to use in oven, or place where heat will be used, the lacquer should be removed first, before heat is applied. Please refer to pictures as they are part of the description and read all Seller Notes above before purchasing. This lid is about 40 years old. After a good cleaning, I think it will be beautiful!
