Description

This is a vintage French round, slope-sided copper saucepan (or évasée). This windsor-style pan has a tin lining and iron handle with copper rivets. It is stamped Made in France. It was retinned some time ago, perhaps 20 years. Although we don't think it has been used since it was retinned because it has been a display piece, the tin has discolored but it is sound. This is a sturdy and rugged piece weighing 3 pounds and 11 ounces. It can sit on low heat and simmer a sauce to velvety perfection. CONDITION Very good used condition. Please inspect photos. There is one small ding on the lip and some splashes of tin near the handle on the outside.
